Shortlists of “Colourful World” International Youth Painting Invitational Exhibition debut in Tianjin to welcome the SCO Summit

50 paintings by youngsters from SCO members and Beijing showcase harmony among different civilizations

At the invitation of the Tianjin People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, 50 shortlisted works of the “Colourful World” International Youth Painting Invitational Exhibition were recommended by the BPAFFC for the exhibition of the “Painting a Picture of Tianjin Together for the Opening of the SCO Summit” Youth Painting Competition. The exhibition is jointly sponsored by the Foreign Affairs Office of the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government, the Tianjin People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Publicity Department of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee, and other organizations. The exhibition zone dedicated to the “Colourful World” International Youth Painting Invitational Exhibition features 25 paintings by young artists from SCO members and 25 by those from Beijing. These paintings revolve around various topics such as exchanges and mutual learning among different cultures, preservation of the world’s heritage, and green, innovative development, presenting a picture of the brighter future of the SCO family. The exhibition opened on July 24 at the Youth and Children’s Center in Tianjin, and will last until September 3.

These shortlists will greet guests of the SCO Summit held in Tianjin from August 31 to September 1. Some outstanding works will also be exhibited in the Foreign Affairs Office of the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government and other places.
