On November 27, Mohamed Rasheed, our good friend and President of the China-Maldivian Cultural Association (CMCA) met with Zhang Qian, Executive Vice President of the BPAFFC, and Jiao Yutong, Vice President of the BPAFFC. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on how to strengthen top-level design for friendly exchanges, promote youth exchanges, and advance China-Maldives cooperation on education, among other topics.
Mr. Rasheed reviewed recent cooperation between CMCA and Chinese provinces and cities in youth exchanges, vocational education, and so on. He noted that exchanges and mutual learning between civilizations are particularly important in the complex international landscape today.
Zhang Qian thanked Mr. Rasheed for his outstanding contributions to people-to-people friendship between China and the Maldives over the years. She said that the BPAFFC will consistently carry out people-to-people exchanges and work to deepen exchanges and cooperation in education between Beijing and South Asian countries including the Maldives, and facilitate more mutual visits, learning, and exchanges between youngsters.
