BPAFFC welcomes Russian youth delegation on a tour of arts and culture in Beijing

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, and the years 2024 and 2025 have been designated as the China-Russia Years of Culture. On August 7, the BPAFFC welcomed the visiting 15-member delegation led by Nikolaevna, member of the Council of the Russia-China Friendship Association (RCFA) and composed of Zuhra, Secretary-General of the RCFA, as well as teachers and students of Kalinka Russian Child Dance Group. At the invitation of the organizing committee of the “Joy Dancing Beijing” Cultural and Art Exchange Week of International Youth, the delegation will participate in the 10th Cultural and Art Exchange Week of International Youth from August 6 to 11.

Wang Yanxia, Vice President and Senior Councilor of the BPAFFC met with the delegation. Wang introduced the long-term efforts of the BPAFFC in promoting China-Russia friendship and conducting cultural and arts cooperation within the framework of the China-Russia Years of Culture. She said that the BPAFFC is willing to continue serving as a bridge connecting the two countries, strengthen cooperation with the RCFA, and promote China-Russia practical exchanges in culture, education, science and technology, arts, and other areas, thus making greater contributions to building the China-Russia comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and enhancing people-to-people bond.

Nikolaevna and Zuhra expressed appreciation for the BPAFFC’s active work in promoting China-Russia friendship over the years, gave a brief introduction to the RCFA and its overall plan for youth arts exchanges. They looked forward to cooperating with the BPAFFC on more youth, cultural, tourism, and arts exchange activities within the framework of the China-Russia Years of Culture.

With the guidance of the BPAFFC and the China Soong Ching Ling Science & Culture Center for Young People and co-hosted by the Beijing Performing Arts and Entertainment Association, the 10th “Joy Dancing Beijing” Cultural and Art Exchange Week of International Youth will open in Future Theater on August 8. Young performers of Kalinka Russian Child Dance Group will shine at the opening ceremony with a wonderful dance. They will also participate in cultural tours and other activities and enjoy a memorable journey of arts in Beijing together with over 1,400 youngsters from China and abroad.
