This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia and the China-Russia Cultural Year. At the invitation of the Russian Cultural Center in Beijing, a delegation of Russian young musicians visited Beijing in April 24-28 to participate in the exchange activities of Chinese and Russian young musicians co-hosted by Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (BPAFFC), the Russian Cultural Center and China Conservatory of Music.
On April 24, accompanied by Urzhumtseva T. B., head of the Russian Cultural Center, the delegation visited BPAFFC.
Wang Yanxia, Vice President and Level-1 Inspector of BPAFFC, met with the delegation, saying that BPAFFC has maintained a close cooperative relationship with the Russian Cultural Center for a long time, and hosting the China-Russia Young Musicians Exchange Activity is a specific measure for celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, and for responding to the "China-Russia Cultural Year" advocated by Russian President Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping. She said that BPAFFC is willing to play its role as a bridge linking China and Russia, and promote exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in the fields of culture, education, science, technology, and art.
Urzhumtseva T. B. thanked BPAFFC for its long-term active efforts for promoting friendly exchanges between the Russian and Chinese people, and hoped to carry out more cultural and artistic exchanges within the framework of the China-Russia Cultural Year by starting with the exchange activity of Chinese and Russian young musicians.
On April 25, the “Friend of Youth, Enjoying the Future” Sino-Russian Youth Concert will take place at the Guoyintang Hall of China Conservatory of Music.
