Friendship in Action – BPAFFC Attends NZCFS National Conference

On May 19, Zhang Qian, Executive Vice President of the BPAFFC, and Wang Yanxia, Vice President of the BPAFFC, attended online the NZ China Friendship Society (NZCFS) National Conference held in Tauranga, New Zealand. The theme for this year was “Friendship in Action.” Chris Lipscombe, NZCFS National President, welcomed the leaders of the BPAFFC on behalf of the NZCFS, hoping to carry out mutual visits in line with the Belt and Road Initiative and youth exchanges. Zhang Qian said in her speech that the exchanges and cooperation between the NZCFS and the BPAFFC scheduled for this year and the next echo the theme of the conference – “Friendship in Action.”

The NZCFS is an important partner of the BPAFFC. Founded in 1952, the NZCFS is committed to promoting the friendship between the peoples of China and New Zealand, serving as an essential bridge. The two sides have organized youth exchanges for four consecutive years revolving around environmental protection, engineering, law, acupuncture and moxibustion. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the two sides have maintained close communications online. At the invitation of the NZCFS, the BPAFFC have attended and addressed the annual national conference online in the last couple of years.
