Long Time No See! BPAFFC Welcomes the Visiting Delegation of ACFS

On the morning of May 22, a four-member delegation led by Jan Everett, President of the Australia-China Friendship Society (ACFS), visited Beijing and BPAFFC. It has been three years since they last met. Zhang Qian, Executive Vice President of the BPAFFC, extended a warm welcome to the delegation and reviewed the fruitful exchanges between the two sides since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Jan Everett briefed on the progress the ACFS has made in recent years and invited the leaders of the BPAFFC to attend the biennial conference of the ACFS to be held in Darwin, Australia in 2024.

The two sides unanimously acknowledged the need to take various measures to help Australians better understand the real China and give Australian youngsters more opportunities to learn about Chinese history and culture, thus laying a solid foundation for mutual understanding and trust between Chinese and Australian people. Also present at the meeting were Wang Yanxia, Vice President and Karla Orellana, National Secretary of ACFS，among others.
