On behalf of foreign friends attending the event, H.E. At the event, Chinese and foreign friends “worked hard with rolled-up sleeves”, and planted more than 200 saplings of Chinese pine, white bark pine, Chinese scholar tree, etc. With an area of about 4.9 hectares, the tree planting site is located in Manjingxi Village, Shahe Town, Changping District. A former site of an old village after resettlement, it provides a green space where local people relax and get close to nature by leveling land and planting greenery.

The 2022 “Beijing International Friendship Forest” tree planting activity was co-hosted by the Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Office of Beijing Greening Commission, the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, Beijing NGO Network for International Exchanges, Beijing Minhe Foundation for International Exchanges and the Changping District People’s Government of Beijing Municipality. China NGO Network for International Exchanges is the support unit of this event.
