On April 1, the BPAFFC Executive Vice President Zhang Qian met with a cultural delegation led by Irene Pivetti, president of the Only Italia and former president of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, in Beijing.
Zhang Qian presented basic information about the BPAFFC to the visiting guests and commended Pivetti for her dedication to China-Italy cultural exchanges. Ma Congfeng, vice president of the Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles (the BFLAC), discussed the BFLAC’s efforts to bolster cultural exchange and develop the creative industry. He expressed willingness for exchanges with the Italian side in fine art, music, and theatre, among other fields. Yu Aijing, deputy general manager of the Beijing Cultural Investment Development Group Co., Ltd. (the BCI) introduced its business sectors and responded to a proposal for cooperation from the Italian side.
Pivetti said that Italy is open to different cultures and is the first G7 nation to join the Belt and Road Initiative. But the cultural exchanges between China and Italy remain inadequate. She hoped to finalize a cooperative strategy and details with the BCI as soon as possible to carry out cooperative projects in Beijing, a city she described as full of vitality.
