Forum on Innovation of Teachers' Science and Technology Education at Home and Abroad in 2019

On the morning of March 24, the 39th Beijing Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition was held at the International Conference Center of Lake Yanxi Campus of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Liu Xiaokan, Member and Vice Chairman of the Party Group of the Beijing Association of Science and Technology, Han Jingyang, Vice Director of the Academic Affairs Committee of Tsinghua University, Yin Changzhi, Honorary President of the Beijing Association for the Development of Talent Resources, and Chen Jianyuan, Director of Education in Asia-Pacific for the Mainstream Engineering Department of Siemens Industrial Software, Yan Li, secretary-general of the Science and Technology Committee of Huairou District, and Zhong Zhibing, deputy secretary-general of the Beijing Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology, attended the forum.

This forum continues the main line of "Maker, Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Development", taking "Internationalized Talent Training of Young People's Science and Technology Innovation" as the theme. John Baruch, Director of International Distance Star Science Popularization Program, Director of the Fourth Industrial Revolution Education Center of Leeds Beckett University, UK, Visiting Professor of Tsinghua University, Shen Jie, President of Capital Normal University Affiliated Middle School and Secretary of the Party Committee, Zhang Yan, Director of QS Global Education Group, Li Xiaohui, president of experimental secondary school affiliated to Beijing Normal University, instructor of Business Innovation Program of the American Natural Science Foundation (NSF) , Kyle Stirling , Project Instructor and Lecturer, School of Computer and Information, Indiana University, and deputy director of the China Comprehensive Research Exchange Center, Kurazawa Jixiong, Vice Director of Japan Science Revitalization Agency China Integrated Research and Exchange Center, Wei Zeneng, a professor at Sakura-Merrill Lynch University in Japan, and other education experts at home and abroad, made keynote speeches from multiple perspectives and levels around aspects such as focus on the practice and thinking of international innovative education and talent cultivation in China and Foreign Countries, the selection and cultivation of innovative talents in international famous Schools-QS Perspective, the digital transformation of scientific education, the internationalization process of education in Japan and its enlightenment.

The experts at the meeting discussed in depth the ideas, measures, assessment and evaluation of the cultivation of young people's scientific and technological innovation talents in the international perspective, and introduced the strategies and methods of solving practical problems to the audience, which help them accurately grasping the development trend of innovative talent training mode under the international vision, study the international advanced cultivation methods of innovative talents ,consolidate the training foundation of innovative talent, and promote the construction of a new generation of international innovative talent ecological circle.

The forum was hosted by Hong Liang, deputy director of Tsinghua University's Basic Industry Training Center, and delivered by Han Jingyang. More than 400 representative of Primary and secondary school teachers at home and abroad and media attended the forum.
