Walk World Wide Federation Secretary General Kontos Attends BRF Thematic Forum on People-to-People Connectivity to Share Stories

On April 25, the Thematic Forum on People-to-people Connectivity of the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation was held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. Focusing on the theme of promoting people-to-people connectivity and improving living standards, the forum summarized the achievements of the Belt and Road in fostering people-to-people links and outlined a blueprint for development priorities in the future.

At the thematic forum, representatives from the Belt and Road countries shared their touching stories about people-to-people connectivity. On the invitation of the Beijing NGO Network for International Exchanges (Beijing NGO), Kontos, vice president of the Greece-China Association and secretary general of the Walk World Wide Federation, took the stage as a guest to share his story related to the Belt and Road Initiative.

After the forum, Kontos visited Beijing Baogui Stone Art and held in-depth discussions with Zhang Xiaoyang, the company’s representative. Kontos and his delegation then visited the Poly Theatre and exchanged ideas about Chinese and Greek dramas “going global" with Li Dan, deputy supervisor of the Beijing Chic-PIA International Cultural Development Co., Ltd. The two sides also reached a preliminary agreement on cultural exchanges and cooperation.
