Co-hosted by the BPAFFC, the Xicheng District People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, and the New Zealand China Friendship Society (NZCFS), Beijing-New Zealand Tourism Development and Environment Seminar was held in World Design Capital of Beijing on the morning of September 13.

A cohort of officials, experts, and scholars in the cultural tourism and environment sectors of Beijing and New Zealand delivered featured speeches, in which they gave an overview of bilateral cooperation and shared practical experience. The seminar strengthened mutual understanding, experience sharing, and consensus building between China and New Zealand, served as an important platform for youth professional exchanges between the two countries, and also provided inspiration for building Beijing into a harmonious and livable world-class metropolis.

A number of friends from New Zealand, including those from Wellington, Dunedin, and Hamilton, participated online.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the China-New Zealand comprehensive strategic partnership. BPAFFC has strengthened cooperation with NZCFS to further deepen the enduring friendship, promote practical exchanges and enhance people-to-people bond. The two sides have collaborated to address common challenges such as environmental protection and contribute to the betterment of the lives of people in both countries.
