Winning Entries of the “Colourful World” International Youth Painting Invitational Exhibition Showcased at Beijing Science Center

88 winning entries of the “Colourful World” International Youth Painting Invitational Exhibition are on display at Beijing Science Center, earning wide applause from youngsters.

Starting from May 15, 2024, selected winning entries of the “Colourful World” International Youth Painting Invitational Exhibition are shown on the ring corridor of the second and third floor of the main exhibition hall of the Beijing Science Center. Revolving around the theme of “Best Wishes for the Winter Olympics, Dream of Ice and Snow,” “Biodiversity Conservation for a Shared Future for All Life on Earth,” and “Promote Exchanges Among Cultures · Protect World Cultural Heritage,” these outstanding paintings win high praises from the visitors.

Co-hosted by the BPAFFC, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, the Beijing Women’s Federation, and other organizations, the “Colourful World” International Youth Painting Invitational Exhibition has been held for three consecutive years. The Exhibition has attracted a total of 120,000 entries from young creators in over 100 countries, and welcomed participation of over 3,000 friendship organizations, overseas Chinese organizations, schools, and art institutions. Some 200,000 youngsters and their families have participated in the related activities. Shortlisted entries were exhibited held in a dozen countries, including Altogether, Australia, Canada, Greece, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The Exhibition has been covered in over 5,000 news reports worldwide, and awarded prizes to a total of 3,658 winning entries.

The 88 excellent paintings selected by the Beijing Science Center and the BPAFFC demonstrate the diversity of the world’s civilizations, embodying the consensus on win-win cooperation, harmony, and common prosperity. The exhibition aims to present a diverse world to the youth in Beijing and encourage youngsters around the world to live up to the promise of their youth, be the inheritor and champion of civilizations and the promoter of exchanges and mutual learning between civilizations, and take joint action to build a colorful world and a great future where all prosper individually and collectively.
