Selected “Colorful World” Paintings on Display at the First “Cinema Heritage” International Film Festival
A certificate of participation was jointly awarded by the UNESCO “Cinema Heritage” International Film Festival, the Franco-Chinese Cultural Exchange Center, and the International Association for Cultural Diplomacy to Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (BPAFFC) in acknowledgement of the latter’s active and invaluable participation in the film festival.
The first “Cinema Heritage” International Film Festival under the patronage of UNESCO was recently held at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France.
For the “China Day” of the film festival, the BPAFFC sent 40 selected award-winning works of the “Colorful World” International Youth Painting Invitational Exhibition drawn by participants in more than 30 countries and regions to be exhibited at the venue, which became a highlight of the event.
Ms. Marietta Valova Bantchev, President of UNESCO Community Association; Rémi Aron, President of the French Association of Arts and a recipient of the Insignia of Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters; the famous French photographer Grégoire de Gaulle; Ms. Aiming Picard, Chair of the Franco-Chinese Cultural Exchange Center; the famous Chinese director Zhang Yimou, and the famous actor Ouyang Fenqiang joined other Chinese and foreign guests in the event and the exhibition.

The “China Day” was jointly organized by the UNESCO Community Association, the Organizing Committee of the UNESCO “Cinema Heritage” International Film Festival, the China Intercontinental Communication Center under the Information Office of the State Council, and the Franco-Chinese Cultural Exchange Center, with support from the BPAFFC.
