Shortlisted Paintings by Children Presented at 2023 Beijing International Public Service Advertising Conference

Subtitle: Young creators show support for public welfare with paintings

The 2023 Beijing International Public Service Advertising Conference was held in Shougang Park recently.

At the invitation of the BPAFFC, young people from 11 BRI partner countries, including China, Azerbaijan, Ghana, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Russia, Sudan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan, presented their winning entries at the “Colorful World· World Cultural Heritage” International Youth Painting Invitational Exhibition. Holding their works in their hands, they sang the song In a Shared World in chorus, a promotional song of the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022, expressing support for public welfare and their wishes to jointly build a better future.

        

        

    

Additionally, 20 excellent paintings on biodiversity and world cultural heritage were on display. These paintings aimed to enhance public awareness of biodiversity conservation and the inheritance and protection of world cultural heritage, creating positive vibes for the conference.

Themed “Empower a Better Future with Public Service Advertising”, the conference was co-hosted by the Publicity Department of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and the Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau. Yang Guorui, Deputy Director of the Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau, Yu Yingjie, Vice Mayor of Beijing, John D. Chacko, Vice President of the International Advertising Association (IAA) Global, attended the conference and the art exhibition, alongside leading officials from the national radio and television system and relevant government departments of Beijing.

Dai Jianjun, Secretary-General of the BPAFFC, delivered a speech titled “Colorful Civilizations: Harmony Without Uniformity” at the summit forum of the conference. He said that the history of human development is a history of mutual learning among civilizations, and to strengthen mutual learning among civilizations is key to building a human community with a shared future. Beijing is endowed with the mission to promote exchanges among civilizations through people-to-people diplomacy and will carry out more people-to-people exchanges to forge closer friendships with other parts of the world and make greater contributions to the mutual learning among civilizations.
