CIFTIS Promotion for South-South Cooperation Countries

Co-hosted by the Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (BPAFFC) and the Beijing International Trade in Services Center, the CIFTIS Promotion for South-South Cooperation Countries was held at China National Convention Center on May 10, 2023. The event was one of the platforms for the CIFTIS to promote South-South cooperation and facilitate the Belt and Road international cooperation. Present at the event were Arlindo do Rosário, Cape Verde’s Ambassador to China, Oliver Wonekha, Uganda’s Ambassador to China, and over 80 delegates from the embassies of 21 countries in China, nine international organizations, chambers of commerce and relevant associations, as well as enterprises. Zhou Ling, Deputy Director-General of the Beijing International Trade in Services Center, Ji Yanchi, Vice Chairman of the Council for Promoting South-South Cooperation, and Jiao Yutong, Vice President of the BPAFFC addressed the event. Mr. Jiao Yutong said that the BPAFFC is ready to forge a future-oriented new type of partnerships with other developing countries and carry out deeper practical cooperation in a wider range of areas. The BPAFFC will pursue common development through the Global Develop Initiative, learn from each other through people-to-people exchanges, and engage in win-win cooperation through active participation in the CIFTIS. The BPAFFC will work with all partners to push further South-South cooperation and usher in an even brighter future for South-South relations.
