The Chinese-African People’s Friendship Association Sends Letter of Appreciation

This year, Senegal in West Africa has been suffering from severe epidemic situation and shortage of medical supplies. To help the people of Senegal control the epidemic and to honor the brotherhood between the two countries, the Chinese-African People’s Friendship Association sent an initiative to the Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (the BPAFFC), hoping for a donation of medial supplies to support Senegal’s fight against the epidemic.

A friend in need is a friend indeed. The BPAFFC urgently raised 30,000 medical masks with Beijing NGO Network for International Exchanges and Beijing MINHE Foundation for International Exchanges. The supplies were then transported to Dakar over 10,000 KMs away. They were officially handed over by Xiao Han, Chinese Ambassador to Senegal, to Aliou Sall, President of the Association of Mayors of Senegal.

Recently, the Chinese-African People’s Friendship Association sent a letter of appreciation to the BPAFFC. The letter thanks the non-governmental organizations in Beijing for aiding Senegal in their epidemic prevention and control, as their action illustrates the deep friendship of the Chinese people for the people of Senegal.
