During the week from March 27 to April 2, the 18th Exchange Camp for Chinese and ROK University Students (Spring Session) was held in Beijing and Inner Mongolia. The camp was co-organized by the BPAFFC and other Beijing and Korean organizations. Over 140 university students and youth workers from China and ROK took part in exchange activities and tree-planting. In Beijing, Gao Shuangjin, vice president of the BPAFFC, attended the welcome dinner for the camp participants on March 27 and the 25th China-ROK Youth Forum on March 28. He then went to the Kubuqi Desert in Inner Mongolia on March 30-31 to attend the launching ceremony for the 2019 Global Youth Program for Combating Desertification and tree planting activities.
Since the launch of the Exchange Camp for Chinese and ROK University Students in 2001, about 100 Chinese and ROK university student representatives have been selected both in spring and autumn each year for mutual visits and exchanges. To date, over 4,000 young people have participated in the program, leading to closer friendship between youngsters of the two countries. Since 2017, the BPAFFC has been a co-organizer of the program.
