On July 9, Jiao Yutong, Vice President of the BPAFFC, met with Samuel Maclean, Communications Manager for the Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies, Harvard University. Samuel Maclean is the great-grandson of Howard Snow, Edgar Snow’s brother.
Jiao spoke highly of the significant contributions made by Edgar Snow and other international friends to enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between the Chinese and American peoples. He introduced the BPAFFC’s relevant activities over the years and expressed his hope to strengthen cooperation with the U.S. academic community to jointly advance people-to-people exchanges and academic research.
Samuel Maclean thanked the BPAFFC for its extensive efforts in carrying forward the spirit of Edgar Snow. He said that as a descendant of Snow, he looks forward to working with the BPAFFC to foster mutual understanding and friendship between young people of the two countries.
