On July 8, Wang Yu, Party Secretary and Executive Vice President of the BPAFFC, met with Corinne Guo, Executive Chairwoman of the Paris France-China Friendship Association (AAFCP). The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on deepening people-to-people friendship and expanding pragmatic cooperation between the two regions.
Wang extended his congratulations on the 30th anniversary of the AAFCP’s founding and spoke highly of the chairwoman’s sustained contributions over the years to enhancing people-to-people friendship between Beijing and Paris. He noted that the two sides have enjoyed 23 years of interactions, and carried out fruitful cooperation in areas such as promoting the Olympic spirit, cultural exchange, and sister-city ties. He looked forward to deeper collaboration with the AAFCP on building the “four bridges” for people-to-people exchanges, pragmatic cooperation, cultural exchanges, and youth friendship, and contribute to closer people-to-people bond and the China-France comprehensive strategic partnership.
Corinne Guo thanked the BPAFFC for its consistent and strong support to the AAFCP, briefed on its recent work, and exchanged views on pragmatic cooperation, science and technology exchanges, and other initiatives. She expressed the hope to work with the BPAFFC to advance cooperation and enhance mutual understanding and trust between the people of the two regions.
Wu Bing, Vice President of the BPAFFC, was also present at the event.
