Dear colleagues and friends at BPAFFC,
As the Chinese New Year of 2026—the Year of the Horse—is approaching, on behalf of all council members of Gesellschaft für Deutsch-Chinesische Verständigung e.V. (GDCV) and in my own name, I wish to convey my cordial greetings and best wishes to you all.
The just-passed Year of the Snake in 2025 witnessed our exceptionally close cooperation yielding fruitful results.
We especially cherish the warm hospitality extended to our delegation in Beijing. The ADCG delegation and the Swiss entrepreneurs’ delegation saw remarkable success. Your hospitality toward our visiting delegation has greatly energized our work, and the entrepreneurs have identified projects with significant potential for cooperation. These visits have profoundly strengthened our relationship and made invaluable contributions to enhancing the friendship between the peoples of our two countries.
Regular and trust-based exchanges are the cornerstone of our partnership.
These positive experiences inspire us to continue with the same vigor and determination in the dynamic Year of the Horse. We will remain committed to strengthening friendship and cooperation between Beijing and Germany. We sincerely hope that our remarkable cooperation will be further deepened and expanded.

Founded in Hamburg in 2015, Gesellschaft für Deutsch-Chinesische Verständigung e.V. (GDCV) aims to promote people-to-people exchanges between China and Germany in the fields of economy, culture, education, and media. It seeks to deepen mutual understanding between the two countries and serve as a bridge for friendly cooperation and subnational exchanges. Flagship events organized by GDCV mainly include the Chinese New Year Concert, the China-Germany Vintage Car Rally, the Belt and Road Forum for Germany-China Cooperation, and the China INN International Youth Music Festival. In November 2017, the BPAFFC held a ceremony welcoming the China-Germany New Silk Road Vintage Car Rally organized by GDCV. In June and October 2025, Liu Guosheng led a delegation to call on the BPAFFC during their visit to Beijing.
