From October 30 to 31, 2025, an 11-member Swiss delegation led by Roman Vettiger, President of Gesellschaft für Schweiz-Chinesische Verständigung (GSCV), paid a visit to Beijing. The delegation was composed of founders of healthcare institutions, senior physicians, as well as executives of companies specializing in eco-friendly technologies and precision manufacturing. The delegation visited the BPAFFC on the afternoon of October 30 and was received by Wu Bing, Vice President of the BPAFFC.
Wu extended a warm welcome to the delegation, noting that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Switzerland. Switzerland was one of the first Western countries to establish diplomatic relations with the People’s Republic of China, and the two countries have developed an innovative strategic partnership and generated a stream of cooperation outcomes across various sectors. The BPAFFC is ready to work with GSCV to promote practical cooperation in key areas such as healthcare, economy, trade, and culture, so as to write a new chapter of non-governmental friendship between China and Switzerland.
During the talk, the two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on topics such as healthcare, eco-friendly technologies, industrial innovation, and talent exchange. Roman Vettiger thanked the BPAFFC for the thoughtful arrangements and said that the field trips to Beijing Children’s Hospital and other organizations gave the delegation deep insights into China’s remarkable innovations in artificial intelligence in healthcare. GSCV will continue to serve as a bridge and work with the BPAFFC to take China-Switzerland practical cooperation to a higher level.
