Co-hosted by the BPAFFC, the Shijingshan District People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, and the New Zealand China Friendship Society (NZCFS), and with the support of the Z-Park Smart Energy Industry Alliance, the Beijing-New Zealand Digital Economy and Environment Seminar was held in the Shijingshan District Reception Hall on the morning of September 23. The seminar served as an important platform for exchanges and cooperation between young professionals of China and New Zealand, enabling the two sides to enhance understanding, share experiences, and foster consensus. It set an example in building Beijing into a global pacesetter in the digital economy.

Over 60 representatives from multiple institutional directors of the BPAFFC participated in the seminar in person. Friends from Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch, and other cities across New Zealand attended the meeting online. During the seminar, delegates from both countries engaged in discussions to enhance industrial cooperation, explore opportunities for Beijing-based companies to expand into the New Zealand market, and facilitate investments by New Zealand enterprises in Beijing, particularly in Shijingshan District. They also delved into practical collaborations leveraging their respective strengths in such areas as cultural preservation, restoration of ancient architectural sites, and the application of new energy.
