On September 11, the BPAFFC hosted the China-ROK Beauty and Healthcare Business Conference in Beijing jointly with the Busan Metropolitan City, the Busan Global City Foundation, and the Beijing office of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA). Precise matchmaking facilitates cooperation
Chinese and Korean companies participated in 56 one-on-one business talks on various topics such as products, technology, and market expansion, and reached a preliminary intent on cooperation for some projects. The companies thanked the hosts for providing this great cooperation platform, saying that the precise matchmaking model greatly increased the cooperation efficiency.
Continuously deepening bilateral cooperation
Wang Yu, Party Secretary of the BPAFFC, delivered a speech at the event. He said that the event was not only a witness to people-to-people friendship, but also an efficient matchmaking activity for industrial resources, making it a strong testament to the achievements in people-to-people bond and mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation between the two cities and countries. The BPAFFC will continue to serve as Beijing’s main channel and arena for non-governmental diplomacy and take concrete action to push the China-ROK business cooperation to a new level.

Hwang Suk-Chil, a Busan Metropolitan Council member and head of the ROK business delegation, noted that Busan is home to a legion of competitive enterprises in the fields of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and cosmetics, while Beijing possesses an enormous consumer base and leading scientific and technological innovation capabilities. If the businesses from the two cities can complement each other’s strengths and collaborate on innovation, they are sure to achieve remarkable success in the Asian market and even international markets.
Li Zhenkun, Vice Chairperson of the Beijing Federation of Industry and Commerce (BFIC), said that face-to-face communication between Chinese and Korean beauty and healthcare enterprises was a practical measure to leverage the role of dominant industries to provide a matchmaking platform. The BFIC is willing to maintain close communication and cooperation with all other sides and work together to expand communication channels, integrate corporate service resources, and promote high-quality mutually beneficial business cooperation between China and the ROK.
