On June 24, the BPAFFC welcomed Liu Guosheng, Vice Chair of Allianz Deutscher China-Gesellschaften (ADCG) e.V. and President of Gesellschaft für Deutsch-Chinesische Verständigung e.V. (GDCV).
Wang Yanxia, Vice President and Senior Councilor of the BPAFFC, extended a warm welcome to the visiting president and congratulated him on the successful conclusion of the Hamburg-Shanghai New Silk Road Rally 2025. She also introduced the BPAFFC’s positioning, functions, and flagship projects, and reviewed exchanges with Germany in recent years. Wang stated that as China and Germany are advancing bilateral relations to a higher level, friendship organizations of the two countries have maintained close ties. She hoped that the two sides could continue collaborating on pragmatic cooperation projects in economic, trade, youth, culture, and other areas, so as to inject new impetus into people-to-people bond.
Liu gave an overview of GDCV’s status quo and key projects such as the For Youth Beethoven China Music Festival and the New Silk Road Rally. He shared some preliminary considerations about future pragmatic cooperation and looked forward to strengthening communications with the BPAFFC and enhancing people-to-people exchanges between the capital cities in an effort to promote long-term friendship and cooperation between China and Germany.
The two sides engaged in initiation discussions on exchange activities next year and reached consensus on multiple issues.
