On January 10, 2025, the BPAFFC welcomed the visiting newly-appointed ambassador of Nepal to China H.E. Dr. Krishna Prasad Oli. Zhang Qian, Executive Vice President of the BPAFFC, and Jiao Yutong, Vice President of the BPAFFC, met with the ambassador. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on practical cooperation in multiple areas.
Noting the strong mutual trust between the Chinese and Nepalese people, H.E. Dr. Krishna Prasad Oli said that he looks forward to enhancing China-Nepal friendship and strengthening bilateral cooperation in tourism, environmental protection, language learning, legal professional exchanges, and other areas during his term of office. He mentioned that the year 2025 marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Nepal, and the friendship between the two countries has lasted more than one thousand years. He expected to organize celebrations jointly with the BPAFFC.
Zhang Qian praised the ambassador’s commitment to China-Nepal friendship, saying that the Chinese people hold the Nepali people in high esteem as true friends. She stressed that the BPAFFC is willing to engage in friendly exchanges with the embassy of Nepal in China in various areas, and particularly, serve as a bridge in tourism promotion and Chinese language training and work actively to deliver projects.
During the meeting, the ambassador also expressed his support and sympathy for earthquake-affected people in Dingri County of Xizang and wished post-disaster reconstruction to be completed soon.
