Nepalese Ambassador to China visits BPAFFC

On August 23, Nepalese Ambassador to China H.E. Mr. Bishnu Pukar Shrestha visited BPAFFC. He was accompanied by Minister Surendra Kumar Yadav and Counsellor Sabita Nakarmi. Executive Vice President of the BPAFFC Mme. Zhang Qian and Vice President Mr. Jiao Yutong met with the old friends.

During their meeting, H.E. Bishnu Pukar Shrestha called his stay in Beijing pleasant and emphasized his attachment to the BPAFFC thanks to his participation in many of the BPAFFC’s activities in the past two years. The ambassador, who is about to leave office and return to Nepal, said that he is willing to maintain close ties with the BPAFFC and together plan and organize people-to-people exchanges in economy, society, culture, and other fields. He stressed the significance of these seemingly small events in enhancing connections between people, saying that “friends are the most important on this planet”.

Mme. Zhang Qian highly appreciated the ambassador’s visit. She thanked him for his strong support in the last two years and wished him all the best in his future endeavor. She also reviewed the history of friendship exchanges with the Arniko Society of Nepal and the Nepal-China Executives Council (NCEC) over the years, and fully agreed with the ambassador’s proposal to further strengthen bilateral communication and cooperation.

H.E. Bishnu Pukar Shrestha was appointed as Nepalese Ambassador to China by Hon. Bidya Devi Bhandari, then President of Nepal, in June 2022. During his term of office, the ambassador participated in multiple activities organized by the BPAFFC, including the “Beijing International Friendship Forest” tree planting event and the Themed Field Visits by Diplomats to China and BPAFFC Council Members.
