The BPAFFC welcomed the visiting delegation of the Paris France-China Friendship Association (AAFCP) led by its Executive Chairwoman Corinne Guo on March 22.

Zhang Qian, Executive Vice President of the BPAFFC, received the delegation whose visit coincides with the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France. Zhang spoke highly of Guo’s efforts to promote exchanges and cooperation between Beijing and Paris over the past decades, introduced the new Council of the BPAFFC, and expressed hope to strengthen cooperation with the AAFCP in youth exchanges, sister city relations, and other areas so as to further advance people-to-people exchanges between the two cities.

Guo reviewed the history of friendship exchanges between the two associations over the past 21 years, and introduced her recent visit to China with Jean-Robert Pitte, permanent secretary at the Institute of France and President of Mission française du patrimoine et des cultures alimentaires (MFPCA) to promote China-France exchanges in food culture, as well as the themed events on the celebration of the 60th anniversary of China-France diplomatic relations and the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics. She hoped that the two sides could collaborate closely to develop featured activities favored by French people and to promote greater understanding and amity between the two peoples.

The two sides reached a consensus on further strengthening cooperation in youth exchanges, food culture, education, and other areas, thus contributing to the building of a more stable and dynamic comprehensive strategic partnership between China and France.
