On June 12th, Ms. Lan Louwe Wang, Board member of the Netherlands China Friendship Association (VNC in Dutch) visited the Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (BPAFFC) as the representative of Ms. Monique Knapen, the new President of VNC.
She forwarded a handwritten letter from Monique, introduced the composition of the new Board of VNC and its recent main work, expressed Monique's wish to visit BPAFFC in the second half of the year, and assured her willingness to continue deepening practical cooperation between the two Associations as well as promoting mutual understanding and affinity between the people of the two sides.
Ms. Zhang Qian, Executive Vice President of BPAFCC, welcomed Ms. Wang together with Ms. Wang Yanxia, Vice President and Senior Councilor of BPAFFC. Zhang Qian expressed gratitude for her contributions to promoting friendly exchanges between Beijing and the Netherlands over the past 20 years, and congratulated her on the re-election as a Board member of VNC, and introduced the main work by BPAFFC to promote the high-quality development of the Capital in the new era. She exchanged opinions with Ms. Wang on cooperation in areas such as ice and snow sports, youth exchanges, and art exhibitions, and expressed the willingness to continue to work hand in hand with VNC and to continuously enhance the mutual understanding between the two peoples in the future.
