China and Pakistan enjoy long-term friendly relations in the past decades. We would never forget that when Covid-19 occurred, Pakistan immediately mobilized resources of the whole country to help us and sent inventory surgical masks of all hospitals to China. This “iron brother” vindicates the meaning of “a friend in need is a friend indeed” with practical actions!
Surgical masks are ready.
We are bound to “return present for present” for iron brother’s “offering timely assistance.” As Covid-19 broke out across the world, the Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (the BPAFFC) and the Beijing NGO Network for International Exchanges have kept close communication with friendship organizations in Pakistan and always care for the iron brother’s updates and demands.
Pakistan is still ravaged by coronavirus and the numbers of new cases and confirmed cases continue to grow. In order to help Pakistani friends tide over the epidemic, the BPAFFC, Beijing NGO Network for International Exchanges, Beijing Minhe Foundation for International Exchanges jointly donated 20,000 disposable surgical masks to the All Pakistan-China Friendship Association. The masks were sent to Pakistan by Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing via a chartered plane and delivered to the All Pakistan-China Friendship Association on July 22.
Surgical masks arrived at Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.
