Since the outbreak began, many international organizations and friends from overseas have been concerned with the epidemic prevention and control in Beijing and China at large, and expressed their sympathies and encouragement through e-mails.

Numerous friendship societies in Jeju, ROK, have lent a helping hand by donating to the Chinese Consulate-General there to help fight against COVID-19. Meanwhile, to support Beijing’s epidemic prevention and control, the Chinese Consulate-General in Jeju has donated 10 million won (60,000 Chinese yuan) thereof to the Red Cross Society of China Beijing Branch through the Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (the BPAFFC). Since the COVID-19 outbreak, many Korean organizations for friendship with China have sent their sympathies to the BPAFFC. They expressed willingness to support Chinese friends and wished that China will soon overcome the disease.

In recent years, the BPAFFC has attached great importance to the friendship with ROK. Jointly with ROK’s organizations for friendship with China, the BPAFFC has carried out a diversity of friendly exchanges to establish a profound friendship. Since the outbreak began, the BPAFFC has stringently carried out epidemic prevention and control, responded to the concerns of friendly international organizations in a timely manner, and publicized China’s disease control measures and its positive progress, striving to create an enabling international environment for China to fight against COVID-19.
