On September 27, Zhang Qian, Executive Vice President of the Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (the BPAFFC) met with Dr. Muhammad Firdaus Bin Abdul Rahman, President of Brunei China Friendship Association, to discuss cooperation on the future programs. Liu Yuhong, vice president of the BPAFFC was also present.
Since the launching of the exchanges between the two associations in 2014, a lot of fruitful work has been implemented :
In May 2014, the Brunei China Friendship Association sent a delegation to participate in the Taiji-Beijing International Health-building Exchange organized by the BPAFFC, and continued to participate in this event in 2016, 2017 and 2019.
In November 2015, the Brunei China Friendship Association sent a delegation to participate in the Beijing International Forum on People-to-People Friendship to promote the "Brunei Biological Innovation Corridor" project. In 2018, Brunei sent a delegation again, and signed a letter of intent for cooperation with the BPAFFC.
In November 2015, the BPAFFC went to Brunei as a specially invited representative to participate in the Conference on ASEAN-China People-to-People Friendship Organizations and made an intangible cultural heritage show at the conference.
In August 2016, the Brunei China Friendship Association sent a delegation to participate in the “Joy Dancing Beijing” Cultural and Art Exchange Week of International Youth.
In November 2016, the BPAFFC was invited to Brunei for science and technology education exchange for youth.
In November 2017, the BPAFFC assisted the Brunei China Friendship Association to contact Chinese Fireworks Company to participate in the fireworks display for celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Sultan’s enthronement.
In July 2019, the Brunei China Friendship Association sent a delegation to the Beijing Science Camp for ASEAN Youth .
The frequent exchanges between Brunei China Friendship Association and the BPAFFC has brought the two association into a family.
