The BPAFFC Delegation Attend China-Netherlands Sister Provinces/Cities Conference

The Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (the BPAFFC) sent a delegation of four to attend the China-Netherlands Sister Provinces/Cities Conference in the Hague from September 17 to 21, 2017, at the invitation of Vereniging Nederland China (VNC). This was to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of China-Netherlands diplomatic relations and the 40th anniversary of VNC.

In recent years, China-Netherlands relations have shown a good developmental momentum. The two sides have harvested fruitful cooperation results in all fields. It is against this background that the Conference was held. The BPAFFC delegation members attended the sub-forums on globalization strategy, agriculture and food, and education. Their speeches presented the experiences shown in practices such as the Beijing Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce serves the international development of private companies, Miyun District develops modern agriculture, and Beijing Municipal Women’s Federation enhances job training and related education for women. These efforts received positive comments from the audience.

During the visit, the delegation also attended a reception hosted by the Embassy of China in the Netherlands for the 45th anniversary of the establishment of China-Netherlands diplomatic relations, among other events.
