Carrying Forward the Tradition and Passing on the Friendship -- 2018 Beijing Youth Summer Camp Delegation Visiting Japan

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the signing of the China-Japan Peace and Friendship Treaty, a delegation of 2018 Beijing Youth Summer Camp, made up of 38 members and co-sponsored by the Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (the BPAFFC) and the Japan-China Friendship Association of Tokyo, visited Japan from July 17 to 22. Teachers and students of the High School Attached to Beijing University of Technology, located in Chaoyang District of Beijing, participated in the activity.

Tokuichiro Utunomiya, president of the Japan-China Friendship Association of Tokyo (JCFA-TYO), Shao Hongwei, first secretary of Embassy of China in Japan, members of JCFA-TYO, Yutaka OKAZAKI, director-general of Japan-China Friendship Association and other relevant leaders attended the welcoming reception.

The delegation received extraordinary hospitality from main leaders of the government and parliament of Ota city, sister district of Chaoyang District, Beijing. Visit of the delegation played a positive role in promoting the further development of friendship between Chaoyang District and Ota city. The delegation had friendly exchanges with teachers and students of Kamata Junior High School in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the conclusion of the China-Japan Peace and Friendship Treaty.

During the stay in Japan, the delegation also visited refuse processing plants, disaster prevention centers, and experienced the traditional Japanese culture.
