Kabul Zoo Delegation Visits Beijing

A delegation of 6 officials from the Kabul Zoo of Afghanistan headed by Director Aziz Gul Saqib visited the Beijing Zoo and Beijing Wildlife Park on September 24 and 25, 2018 respectively as arranged by the Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (the BPAFFC).

The delegation learned about the development of the two zoos during this visit, and spoke highly of their advanced management concept, ways of displaying animals and techniques of feeding animals. Aziz Gul Saqib expressed his hope to establish long-term cooperation with zoos of Beijing and exchange animals, as well as to seek assistance and support from Beijing counterparts to rebuild the Kabul Zoo after the war.

This visit marked a start of the friendly cooperation between the zoos in Beijing and Kabul, and played a positive role in further promoting the practical exchanges between the two sides.
