University of Chicago Youth Leaders Delegation Visits the BPAFFC

On March 25, Zhang Qian, executive vice president of the BPAFFC, met with the University of Chicago Youth Leaders Delegation, members of which are all students pursuing master’s or doctoral degrees in Social Sciences or Public Policy at the university.

Zhang Qian presented basic facts and information related to Beijing. The delegation then watched a promo video for Beijing and the 2022 Winter Olympics. Afterward, she answered their questions on issues including air pollution, traffic, housing, living standards, and innovation by small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as Beijing’s effective measures to address these issues. She also briefed them about Beijing’s preparation for the 2022 Winter Olympics, coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and Beijing’s slimming, relocation of non-core functions and uplift efforts.

Invited by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the delegation was arranged by the China-United States Exchange Foundation to visit China. Gao Shuangjin, vice president of the BPAFFC, attended the meeting.
